The terms we work to.
Plain-English terms for the Magixis website and AI receptionist, provided by MAGIXIS LIMITED. No lock-in, no exit fee, and we are happy to sign your own agreement.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of the Magixis website and the Magixis AI receptionist service (the “Service”). They are between you and MAGIXIS LIMITED (company number 17372370, registered office 9 Bartle House, Oxford Court, Manchester M2 3WQ), trading as Magixis (“we”, “us”).
If you are a customer, these terms sit alongside your order and, if you have signed one, your master services agreement and data processing agreement. If those documents conflict with these terms, they win. We are happy to sign your own agreement if your legal team prefers.
2. The service
The Service answers phone calls, text messages and WhatsApp messages for a business: it takes messages, answers set questions, routes calls and books appointments. It is administrative. It does not give medical, legal, financial or other professional advice, and it is not a way to reach the emergency services. A caller who needs urgent help must be told to call 999, and you must not rely on the Service for that.
Every agent tells callers it is an AI assistant, and answers truthfully if asked. We provide the Service with reasonable skill and care. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every call will be answered correctly; we work to put right faults promptly.
3. What you agree to
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Use the Service lawfully. In particular, do not use it for cold or unsolicited outbound sales calls or messages, to mislead anyone, to harass anyone, or for anything that breaches the law.
- Messaging channels. If you use WhatsApp or text messaging, you are responsible for having the consent or other lawful basis to message people, for honouring opt-outs, and for following the WhatsApp Business Terms of Service and Meta’s commerce and messaging policies. We may stop sending messages that break them.
- Tell the people who contact you, in your own privacy notice, that calls and messages are handled by an AI service and may be recorded.
- Keep your login details secure and tell us at once if you think they have been misused.
4. Personal data
For the calls and messages that your own customers send you, you are the controller and we are your processor, and we handle that data under our data processing agreement and the commitments in our privacy policy and on our trust page. For the personal data of our own website visitors and contacts, we are the controller.
5. Fees and payment
Fees are those on our pricing page at the time you order, or in your order if it says otherwise. VAT is added where it applies. We will give you notice before any change to fees takes effect.
6. Cancelling
There is no minimum term and no exit fee. On the Pro and Command plans, give us 30 days’ notice to cancel. On Lite, switch the agent off and billing stops. We may suspend or end the Service immediately if you seriously breach these terms or if keeping it going would put us in breach of the law or of a provider’s rules; where we can, we will warn you first. When the Service ends we delete your call and caller data within 14 days and confirm in writing.
7. Who owns what
You own the content you give us and the custom builds we make for you. We keep our software, our general know-how and the right to reuse generic patterns that do not contain your confidential information or personal data. The Magixis name, logo and website are ours.
8. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for fraudulent misrepresentation. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or anticipated savings, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for everything arising in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
If you use the website without being a customer, it is provided as it is, and we are not liable for loss from relying on it, to the extent the law allows.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the law or our service changes. We will change the date on this page, and tell customers in writing of any change that affects them materially. Last updated 8 November 2026.
10. Law, courts and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
