Facts you can look up before you ring anybody.
A local page is worth having for one reason: it should let you check who you are dealing with in about a minute. Every line below is public, and the two numbers can be searched on the registers that issued them.
Being in Manchester changes the paperwork, not the phone call.
Most local pages imply a local advantage. There isn't one, and pretending otherwise would be the first thing you caught us out on. Here is what our address actually gets you, what it doesn't, and what we will not claim.
A registered office, a company number, a named person
There is an address to send a DPA to, a Companies House record to read, an ICO registration in the same name, and a founder whose name is on the page. For a supplier that answers your phone, that is the part worth being able to check.
The line has no radius
Your number forwards to the same agent whether your branch is in Ancoats or Aberystwyth, answered in the same two rings, on the same published rate. Nothing is faster or cheaper because you are nearby, and nothing is slower because you are not.
No local presence, no visits, no endorsement
We are not a call centre with a Manchester floor, we send nobody to your premises, and we claim no relationship with any council, chamber or trade body. We hold no sector accreditation, and the agent never claims a qualification for anyone.
A phone-answering product is a strange thing to build in 2026, unless you have watched the phones.
Magixis was incorporated in Manchester on 31 July 2026 by Arun Paul, and the city is the reason the product looks the way it does rather than a line of marketing. The businesses within a mile of Oxford Court are the ones this was built for: dental practices, letting and estate agency branches, accountancy firms, salons, gyms, plumbers and electricians running two vans. None of them has a spare person to answer a phone, and all of them lose work when nobody does.
What that proximity changed was the boundary rather than the pitch. Sit with a lettings branch on a Saturday, or a practice at eight in the morning, and it becomes obvious that the dangerous part of an answered call is not the answering — it is the sentence after it. So the agent was built to state only what the business configured, to book from the business's own diary, and to refuse the rest out loud: no advice, no opinion, no claim about anybody's registration, nothing agreed on the business's behalf. Every sector page on this site is a version of that same narrow promise, written in that sector's vocabulary and with its regulator named where there is one.
The other Manchester consequence is the pricing. There is one published price list, no setup fee on Lite, no subscription on Lite, no allowances, no overage and no contract — because the businesses this was built for are the ones who get quoted mysteries. You can read the whole thing without talking to anyone.
The pages that actually answer your question are the sector ones.
This page is about the company. Everything about what a caller hears — the call types, the boundaries, the transcripts, the sourced figures — sits on the page written for your sector.
Sixteen pages, four families, one product
The reception index lists them and routes you: regulated practices, the trades, property, and businesses selling time and presence — plus a page for a practice of one and a catch-all.
What happens to one call, end to end
Forwarding, configuration, the two-week Pro build over a week of your own real calls, the sandbox number, then live on your own line. Same-day on Lite.
Data, retention, sub-processors, DPA
EU storage, 30-day recordings, 90-day transcripts with per-client overrides, masked caller details, capability-based access and a published sub-processor list.
How much does it cost?
Calls run from 70p a minute. Lite is £1.35 a minute with no setup fee and no subscription; Pro is £995 setup once, then £99 a month plus 85p a minute with the CRM included; multi-site Command brings it to 70p a minute. Same prices in Manchester as in Margate.
Two sites, one company, no city in any sector title.
We run a second, smaller site at manchester-ai-receptionist.co.uk for Manchester and North West searches. It is the same company and the same product, written for a local reader, and it links back to this site. This page is the Manchester entry on the main site, which is why none of the sixteen sector pages carries a city in its title: the service is UK-wide and a title that said otherwise would be misleading to three-quarters of the people reading it.
What that means in practice is dull and worth saying anyway. Your existing number keeps working — you forward it, and you keep the number. Nobody attends your premises. Setup on Lite is the same day, done by you from a link; Pro is a two-week build that starts with a week of your real calls being listened to, then configuration, then a sandbox number, then live. Recordings and transcripts are stored encrypted in EU regions, kept 30 and 90 days respectively with per-client overrides, and caller names and numbers are masked by default.
If you want the company rather than the product, the about page has the longer version and the founder's name and background. If you want the boundaries in writing, they are on trust. If you want to hear it, the fastest route is a live call to our own line — the agent that answers it is the one your callers would get, and it will book your thirty minutes with the founder while you are still on the phone.

The questions people ask about where we are.
If your question isn't here, put it to our agent on a live call — it can probably answer.
No. The company is registered in Manchester and the product answers calls anywhere in the UK, at the same posted rate. A phone line has no radius: a practice in Truro or a firm in Inverness gets the same agent, the same two-ring answer and the same 70p-a-minute floor as a business two streets from our office.
No. There is one price list and it is published: Lite £1.35 a minute with no setup fee and no subscription, Pro £995 setup then £99 a month plus 85p a minute, multi-site Command £2,950 a site then £499 a month plus 70p a minute. No allowances, no overage, no contract, and no travel or distance charge of any kind — the pricing page carries all of it.
Magixis Limited, Bartle House, 9 Oxford Court, Manchester M2 3WQ. It is the registered office, which is where post and legal documents go — not a walk-in reception. Demos are done as a 30-minute call with the founder, which is faster for you than a trip into town and is the same conversation.
Companies House number 17372370 and ICO registration ZC223083, both public and both linked from the trust page. The company was incorporated on 31 July 2026 and its founder is Arun Paul. We publish those rather than a badge, because a number can be looked up and a badge cannot.
No, and it would not be better if it were. Recordings and transcripts are stored encrypted in EU regions, with recordings kept 30 days and transcripts 90 days and per-client overrides available. Caller names and numbers are masked by default, access is capability-based with a logged reason for sensitive actions, and we sign a DPA and publish our sub-processor list.
Yes — manchester-ai-receptionist.co.uk is a small local site we run for Manchester and North West searches. It is a separate site with its own copy, it links back here, and it describes the same company and the same product. This page is the Manchester entry on the main site; the sector pages carry no city in their titles because the service is UK-wide.
No. Nothing about the service needs anybody on site: the number forwards to us, the configuration is done from a link, and the agent is trained on the words and prices you give it. Setup on Lite is same-day and self-serve; Pro is a two-week build run over calls and screens, not visits — the build, step by step.
The one that names your reader. The reception index lists the sixteen sector pages and routes you; each is written around that sector's call types, its boundaries and its own sourced figures. If your sector is not listed, the custom page opens with the three questions that decide fit better than any label.
